Well Disinfection Kit

Our well disinfection kit uses a USDA food-grade disinfectant that is both safe and effective in removing harmful bacteria and fungi from your well. Our disinfecting agent is calcium hypochlorite, easier and safer to use than household bleach. 

Included in your kit is a post-disinfection test that checks for coliform and E. coli. It also tests the total bacteria levels, a test known as a heterotrophic plate count. We recommend sending in your post-disinfection sample 7-10 days after adding the disinfecting agent to your well. Pre-paid postage is included for the post-disinfection test.

Keep in mind, the Environmental Protection Agency recommends disinfecting your well at least once each year. This disinfection and testing is a must to maintain and prolong the life of your well, filtration equipment and appliances, and, most importantly, keep you and your family safe.
