Fluoride Water Test

$30.00

Municipalities have long added fluoride to community water to reduce tooth decay. As the Environmental Working Group notes, however, fluoride’s protective effects occur primarily as a result of topical applications, not from its addition to water.

Fluoride can also enter water supplies from naturally-occurring deposits in soil or rock. Consumption of too much fluoride can result in arthritis, bone damage, osteoporosis, joint problems and fatigue. Dental fluorosis can also occur, resulting in mottling, pitting and weakening of teeth.

Since the Environmental Protection Agency has set a limit of four parts per million (ppm) of fluoride in drinking water, it is important to know if your water supply exceeds this.
